I grew up in Cloverdale, British Columbia, Canada with farm fields to the left and coastal mountains to the right. My first experience in a dark room was in high school, but it wasn't until my final years of university that I began to develop film on a regular basis. I found my inspiration down by the train tracks off of 168th Street, as well as in the backstreets and on the dusty shelves of the antique shops and second-hand stores in Cloverdale and Vancouver. When I moved to Tokyo in 2005, I continued to roam the backstreets and alleyways, looking for color, lines and space. Tokyo is an amazing city with more backstreets than I will ever be able to explore, but on those cool spring evenings or humid summer weekends, I set out in search for a new corner or crevice. In a city like this, however, I hardly have to search; usually the images will present themselves to me, offering themselves to me as I walk home from work or as I ride my bike downtown. Those are my favorite moments, my favorite photographs.

Where is this? So familiar, maybe it is just the Vanity spray?!
Does that top marshmallow(???) say TKS? Spooky!
it's down in naka-meguro under the tracks...right across from the 'rocker and hooker' shop...
Well, well, well...look who has a blog. All us cool people in Tokyo have one now. Missing you and Mr. 3%.
